The wired world is not necessarily your wire to the world. Even if you are talented and persistent, a lot has to happen at the right moment for you to be able to transform your passion into a wave that extends beyond you. That's BEYOND MUSIC. It began as a virtual platform to connect musicians, composers and songwriters of different cultures and backgrounds from all over the world. It opened up a new way of communicating through music. Many inspiring musical voices joined in and brought songs with them, and the idea for this recording was born. With the help of legendary producer and Grammy award winner Larry Klein, ten songs were chosen for the first album. The result is that twenty-three musicians from seventeen countries met at the STUDIOS LA FABRIQUE, one of the world leading studios in the South of France. It was an extraordinary experience, not only for the invited artists, but also for the fantastic studio musicians and all the backstage people who invested their experience and expertise to celebrate the "same sky". Immerse yourself in the music, and go beyond.
The journey has just begun.
By getting out of the comfort zone unexpected and incredible things happened
All of the sudden we got together and it’s pretty hip and pretty up too
To me music is life
and music is love. … No, it’s not all fun. Because most of the time it’s a lot of work. And when it comes to work, it’s focus. And when it’s focus, it’s not fun
Here we find a strong foundation in this vast media age for different cultures to explore endless sonic possibilities
Together nothing can stop us
Even the oceans can’t separate us
Being together with so many musicians, hearing all the voices and noticing that we are all humans with different stories - it makes me feel very happy
What was magical?
To connect with people from totally different cultures and find common understanding through creation
What stays with me is this union. The same passion which has united us, which has brought us here. It´s the music
It´s about union, connection, creating movement and changing attitudes
Raise your hands to the future
Raise your song like a prayer
Let it echo like thunder
It’s very welcoming and very allowing for collaborations to happen and to meet without pressure in an optimal environment. I like the vision that music brings people together and minimizes differences
I‘ve been lost in silence
I‘ve been so afraid to get up and sing my part
I wanted to go places,
wanted to embrace
All the beauty in my heart
And what’s made this super special is that we formed these beautiful friendships that I think will last forever
It’s a unique way to go
beyond my musical borders
Coming here has been an experience I’ll never forget. Not only because I’ve heard so many types of music, all fantastic and learnt a huge amount from different nations and cultures. And kind of marking in, playing a different instrument. And also about kind of learning to work with people from different worlds, but also different times of life in their life. They are maybe younger or older than me. And I’ve been playing with incredibly experienced legendary musicians. And some other artists are in their 20s. I’m learning from everyone in many different ways. I’m happy to be in.
On a little blue ball
Under a Big Red Sun
We Are One
We are all dreamers underneath the same sky
We have
come to a juncture
in our collective history where, more than ever before, it is essential that we transcend the points of division that have created chasms between many of the cultures and traditions that have evolved on this planet;
this oasis in space.
It´s beyond.
The message is love
